Canpack to invest in new aluminium beverage can line in Czech Republic
Aluminium beverage can manufacturer Canpack is investing in an aluminium beverage can factory in the town of Stříbřo in the region of Pilsen, western Czech Republic. The new production line will serve the production capacity of Plzeňský Prazdroj, a prominent Czech brewery as well as other clients in the region. This new investment will increase the overall aluminium beverage can production capacity of the company to 25 billion cans per year.
Assan Alüminyum makes further green investments to reduce its carbon footprint and expand its processing capacity for flat rolled aluminium products and scrap.
76% of aluminium beverage cans were recycled in 2021 which is a total of 570,000 t. This new record level means a saving of 4,7m t of CO2-eq.
