Cansan Aluminium has awarded Danieli Breda an order for a 40-MN, 10-inch front-loading extrusion press.
With the order for the new extrusion press Cansan, based in Bursa, Turkey, will be capable of extruding hard alloys, thus expanding its range of automotive profiles. At present the company produces around 24.000 tpy of extruded products for the automotive, furniture and solar power industries. The press will be characterized by the latest technological innovations, such as Danieli Breda’s patented Esed 4.0 system, which offers average energy savings of 25-30 %.
Third order for extrusion presses from Turkey within six months
For Danieli Breda, this is the third extrusion press order from Turkey within the last six months.
The 40-MN extrusion press will be equipped with
- a press control system for isothermal extrusion to maintain a constant billet temperature through the die, thus achieving consistent mechanical properties;
- a fully-electric billet loader and die-change station, which does not require extra hydraulic systems and reduces maintenance costs;
- wireless tablet control systems for easy and efficient machine operation, maintenance and remote service support;
- hydraulic pumps and electrical cabinets pre-installed on skids for layout optimization and quick installation.
A project director and coordinator of sub-suppliers, Danieli Breda ensures that the customer will achieve its targets in terms of plant performance and time schedule. The commissioning of the press is planned for spring 2022.
