Hydro only aluminium company on DJ Sustainability Index
Hydro is named a constituent of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, as the only aluminium company on the list for 2020.
Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World is the most prestigious index in the DJSI family. This is the 22nd consecutive year that Hydro is included in the DJSI series.
“I am very pleased to see that Hydro’s effort to act on our values and targets throughout the organization is valued by DJSI”, says Kirsten Margrethe Hovi, head of Extra-Financial Reporting in Hydro.
Hydro’s total score on this year’s ranking is 69 %, up from 63 % in 2019 and 67 % in 2018. "The DJSI ranking is an important benchmark tool for us, where we are assessed and measured against other companies. We get confirmation if we are on the right track and it makes areas where we can improve visible to us,” she says.
